On Wednesday, September 10, 2025, the first press conference for FREDDIE THE EXHIBITION took place, where we officially presented our exhibition to the press and the world.

Press Conference Summary Freddie – The Exhibition

·       Officially announced: In Budapest, in cooperation between World of Freddie and House of Music Hungary, the unique exhibition Freddie – The Exhibition will open in spring 2026.

·       Key milestones: The exhibition istimed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of Freddie Mercury’s birth and the 40th anniversary of his legendary 1986 Budapest concert.

·       Content and concept: Hundreds of original personal items (costumes, handwritten lyrics, drawings, furniture from Garden Lodge, collectibles). Previously unpublished personal recollections from friends and colleagues. Nine thematic spaces connecting his career, concerts (including Live Aid), and personal life. Interactive and multimedia elements characteristic of the House of Music. Aunique audio guide narrated by Peter Freestone, Mercury’s longtime assistant.

·       Aim of the exhibition: To present Freddie not only as a global music icon, but also as a person whose personal story, relationships, and passions (opera, Japan, Scrabble, giving gifts to friends) bring depth and authenticity to his legend.

·       Strategic significance: The first exhibition devoted to Freddie Mercury’s personal story. A major cultural event for Hungary with international reach. A strong brand with the potential to attract a global fan base. Expected to generate significant media and tourism impact.
